The project includes an XML importer for easy addition of weekly editions, two tiers of content – free and paid, commenting capabilities, picture galleries, and a classified section. The entirety of the site is managed using Tigeradmin – J House Media’s own content management software creation.
When asked about the complexity of the project, Jeremy Minnick, Head of Product Development, comments, “The Shelter Island Reporter presented many interesting challenges. They have an existing business model and multiple sources of data that they use when going to press. It was a lot of fun building different applications that allowed their team to import the existing content into their new site.”
